How Can I Update Connection String

Sir,we are going to change our server..we are using crystal report 11.x ..I want to change the connection string to the new server..Some of the crystal reports are developed in stand alone application.Because of that i can't able to set connection string dynamically in the code.That's why i am looking for how to change the connection string in bulk.Maximum we used stored procedure directly connect to the report.

yes, you can update what Nitin is said if you have notepad++.

Also you can do in VisualStudio. Press ctrl + shift + F and it opens "Find & Replace" window.

In that you need to change the "Look-in" path and that should your folder where your all reports are there.

Is this part of a migration activity?

Unfortunately, I don't know the format in which Crystal Report definition is stored. If it is like SSRS report, which is plain text file, then I just put all reports in one folder and changed all files in one go by using Find and Replace feature on files in Notepad++. Simple.

Updating the connection string would also require you to update the database and the database server (or engine) too. Can you tell us how do you want to update that?
