Most importantly, you have to be concise when giving instructions to ChatGPT. Adding more than enough information may lead to a dilution of the results, and less information may not give you adequate results. Here is what you can do -
1) The very first thing is to set the context. Setting the environment and giving the result format is the basic thing. e.g., Write a professional resume for a .NET developer with three years of experience.
2) Give concrete instructions and avoid vague words, e.g., Write a professional resume for a .NET developer with three years of experience in 500 words.
3) Providing parameters will help ChatGPT understand to the point. e.g., Write a 300-word blog post in a conversational tone.
If you are set with the above three points, you will get far more decent results than a random request from the ChatGPT.
I hope this helps!

For Writing an efficient prompt in any GenAi tool you need to follow below 5 practice.
1. Give the AI an identity
Who do you want the AI to be? Tell ChatGPT who you are or who you want it to be in its responses. You could say, "You're a social media manager for a consulting agency."
2. Add tone
If you are doing copywriting, you will want to set up the tone of the responses. Are you an expert? Are you a nice, sympathetic teacher? Curious? Humorist?
3. Add background text
You can say, "We are going to write an article, so here are some examples of current articles I have written." You can even share your guidelines.
4. Direct the length of the response
Give like, Do you want a 2000 word report, a few paragraphs, or something super short, like a Tweet-length response? Give it this direction.
5. Ask the AI to ask you questions
Asking ChatGPT to ask you clarifying questions. "What else do you need to know from me to do what I have asked?"

Assign a Role Start by assigning a specific role or persona to ChatGPT. For example, "You are an expert financial advisor" or "You are a creative writing tutor". This helps establish the context and expertise you want ChatGPT to use in its response. Give a Clear, Descriptive, and Accurate Task Clearly state the task you want ChatGPT to complete. Be as specific as possible about what you want the output to be, such as "Write a 500 word blog post about productivity tips for small businesses". Provide Context Give ChatGPT relevant background information to better understand the context of the task. This could include details about the target audience, tone, format, etc. The more context you provide, the more tailored and relevant ChatGPT's response will be.
