how can show multiple model in a single view in mvc

Hi Sanjeev kumar,

You can achieve this in different ways,

1. Nesting of Complex objects - Example

public class student
{
public int studentid{get;set;}
public string studentname{get;set;}
}
public class teacher
{
public int teacherid{get;set;}
public string teachername{get;set;}
}
public class school
{
public student _student{get;set;}
public teacher _teacher{get;set;}
}

You can send the school model to your view and from school model you can get student and teacher model

2. Using Tuple you can pass multiple model. Please find the sample controller code

Model
===================
public class student
{
public int studentid{get;set;}
public string studentname{get;set;}
}
public class teacher
{
public int teacherid{get;set;}
public string teachername{get;set;}
}
public class school
{
public student _student{get;set;}
public teacher _teacher{get;set;}
}
Controller
==================
public ActionResult GetSchoolDetails()
{
Student _student=//Get student info using your db context;
Teacher _teacher=//Get teacher info using your db context;
Tuple _schoolModel=new Tuple(_student,_teacher);
return View(_schoolModel);
}
View
==================
@Model Tuple
To access student info,
@Model.Item1.studentid,@Model.Item1.studentname
To access teacher info
@Model.item2.teacherid,@model.item2.teachername

3. Using View bag send the multiple models, But this is for rare case. using more viewbag is not good coding standards.

Controller
==================
public ActionResult GetSchoolDetails()
{
Viewbag._student=//Get student info using your db context;
Viewbag._teacher=//Get teacher info using your db context;
return View();
}

1. dynamic obj = new ExpandoObject();
2. obj.MyInt = 3;
3. obj.MyString = "Foo";
4. Console.WriteLine(obj.MyString);
Try using ExpandoObject. Being dynamic you can assign any number of models to this obj object and list all those using obj. You will have to just return this "obj" from your function.
