How to clear a console window in C# Console application?

The short answer is there is no command for clearing the Console screen. The MS instructions use some complex code which I wouldn't want to bother with. The next version of VS.NET promises some additional functionality in Console applications, including clearing the screen, changing the colors, locating the cursor, etc. In the meantime, you might use a for loop to add Console.WriteLine() blank lines to scroll up the existing text. The problem is that the cursor will then be at the bottom of the screen. But you can fake it with more blank lines. If this is just a school exercise, then you will simply have to put up with the Console's limitations for now.

I have checked and tried to run. using nsClearConsole; When I use above, application is not recognizing this namespace

This is not my requirement. There is some manu based options in console based applications like 1. Add 2. delete 3. clear If we press 3, screen should be cleared.

Hi!!! Myself i do not know if there is an equivelant to cls in C# but i think you can play around it to get the same output. If you want to clear all text boxes in form you can set them to NULL after submitting the form or you can user server.Transfer to go to an empty page with a message or without( something like that) but in any case if you found cls in C# please let us know if this thread.
