How to Compare Prefix of barcode ?

For all Developers and Programmers: Please help me I need to solve this problem by using c sharp I have a system works by using asp.net using c# and I have a barcode for any item as prefix for these items, when the user insert a prefix in textbox the system should work a compare by inputs.

Do you mean the user will insert the barcode value (which might be the item number), and you want to find (mark as selected) the related item? If yes, first you need to get all barcodes values in array of strings. And then when the user inserts the text in the textbox, the program starts searching the text inside the array of strings. If it finds a match, it returns the item number (or barcode value) and select the related item.
