how to connect managed code with ummanaged code?!

Hi All, My first question here, hopefully will contribute something to the forum :) please, can you tell me how to connect between managed code with ummanaged code?! -for example: C# code with C code- there is C# command that run an '.exe' file; what is that command please?! thanks in advance Manal..

sorry for being late! -examination time- X-Box Gamer, I want to run an .exe file -the output of C code compilation- from C# interface! what is the suitable way to do that?! jteeuwen, great article, thanks alot for your explaination. thanks again Manal..

Calling managed code form an unmanaged program can be done in severl ways. First, use COM Interop. There's a ton of articles on that about. Also here on c-sharpcorner.com If the unmanaged language does *not* support COM, I recommend you look at my article here: http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/Code/2003/Aug/ExportManagedCodeasUnmanaged.asp It shows how to use a managed assembly in a non-COM supporting environment. The way to launch an exe file from your C# code is simple. System.Diagnostics.ProcessStartInfo psi = new System.Diagnostics.ProcessStartInfo( "myprogram.exe", "listofarguments" ); System.Diagnostics.Process proc = System.Diagnostics.Process.Start( psi );

Sup Manal!! What are you wanting to do exactaly? The C# compiler has a /unsafe switch used in conjunction with the unsafe keyword for referencing by pointer in managed code, with C++ or C. Im not sure if thats exactaly what your looking for or not. Let me know your wanting to do.
