How to Entity Framework to call stored procedure in c#

Hi ,

Once you created the procedure in database, then

1) open the .edmx file
2)right click > Update Model from entity,

your procedure will be added in the entity, If not added remove the .edmx file and add it again (if u r re adding /edmx make sure u r keeping same entity name what u kept already)

3) Once you updated the model from database then , entity will create the yourspname_result.cs file.(to verify open the .edmx file > expand the .tt file then check whether ur procedure has been added, if not make sure your procedure is working fine in db level then re add it)

Once all the above steps are done kindly use the below code.

using (var dbContext = new YourEntity())
{
var detail = dbContext.YourProcedureName(ParameterName).ToList(); }
