Hi, In my application there is edit button on click on it user will navigate to edit page with userid which he wants to edit.

This navigation working properly.

but on edit page that user id should store in local variable and update the data by update query where userid=local variable.

You can transfer ID from one page to another page.
(1)-cookie
(2)-query string
(3)-session
(4)-application state

I am doing with query string.

FirstForm.aspx.cs
response.redirect("Secondform.aspx?parameter=" +textbox1.text);

SecondForm.aspx.cs
textbox1.text = request.querystring["parameter"].tostring();

you should use this query..
" UPDATE tablname set eid='"+this.idtxt.Text+"',name= '"+this.nametxt.text+"' where eid='"+this.idtxt.text+"' ";
