If your blog has quality content then you dont need to do alot to get you visits. content is the king which everyone tells you. so i suggest

1) Add some quality/unique content targeting the keywords with decent traffic.
2) Keep your blog in a certain domain.
3) build a community
4) get E-Social
5) Link Link Link
6) Give something free and you will find alot of one way incoming links
7) Patience patience and patience

I personally think alot of people have done some good things but they run out of patience n give up. if you cant wait for your blog to grow then dont start.

Seo is no different than planting a tree. there are no short cuts.

First of all, you need to give people value. If you are just posting on different websites partial contents and let them go somewhere else, people will stop following you. Lot of people are doing this. To have real traffic, you must have good contents.

Lot of people are using Twitter, FaceBook, MySpace, and YouTube to promote their contents.
