how to insert checkbox values by using stored procedure

hello everyone,

I had three checkboxes cb1 cb2 and cb3 , if i check anyone of then and submit then the text in that should be stored in particular column .

how to use stored procedure for inserting the checked checkbox value

the below is te my table

userid

happpy

angry

sad

date

if i check cb1 and submit the text should be stored in happy same if cb2 is checked then in angry or cb3 then in sad .

how to write this in stored procedure .

I really got stuck at this . As i am new to this .Someone show me the right directioon.

Hello

You dont need to check that cb1.checked == true in stored procedure , its completely wrong

Do just like that :

if cb1 == true
begin
// your query

Hello

For that you should implement different things i guess like :

Make your expression fields like :

happy : bit [Datatype] value will be = true / false

Its not good to enter text of checkbox

If not checked than it will be false

If you give the id of checkbox in the place of object ,the checkbox text will get store into the table if it is unchecked also.
But as you said the code needs to store the checkbox value only when it is checked.So i am assigning the checkbox text into another variable only when it is checked else NULL value will be stored .

The text of checkbox is taken and store into the table only when it is checked .
So i have assigned the checkbox text value to string variables in the name of happy,angry,sad.There you would need to give the checkbox ID name

Just for example i have given the userid as 1. You can use your own functionality to store the value for the column userid (like the logged in user details )

can you explain me why should i take int userid = 1 ,
my doubt is if i take int userid = 0
can it take the logged in userid and stores there

can you please show me it as an example

because when i write like this

if cb1.checked == true
BEGIN
insert into table name (happy)values (@happy)

it is giving me error as cb1 is not in the specified column something like that

Hello

This is really simple to implement

I hope you are getting checkbox text value

So thats it pass text to stored procedure as parameter

And than go for if condition or switch case , use your text that you got from code

Than do insert query as per your requirement
