How to insert sales order date without column in query..?

I have Sales Order table it has SalesDate column, without adding SalesDate column in query how to insert today date in SalesDate column when we insert New Sales Order.

You can set default value as getdate() of column sales date.

If you donot want to Specify column in your insert query than while creating column you can specify default date for SalesDate column like below
CREATE TABLE SalesOrder (
    ID INT NOT NULL,
    OrderNumber INT NOT NULL,
    SalesDate DATE DEFAULT GETDATE()
);
Or if you are already having SalesOrder table and you want to alter then you can use following command,
ALTER TABLE SalesOrder ALTER CONSTRAINT DF_SalesOrder_SalesDate DEFAULT GETDATE() FOR SalesDate
Or if you want to specify in your insert query than you can specify GETDATE() as default in your query like below
INSERT INTO SalesOrder (OrderNumer,SalesDate) VALUES ('O01', GETDATE());

Hey
If you don't want to pass date in the query then you can create Store Procedure with parameters (as per your requirement) and in that you can use getdate() to insert it.

Use today's date as the default date for SalesDate. SQL Server will add the date to the row upon insertion.
