How to keep session alive?

Question

I am facing a situation wherein I have to keep my session alive even though I am not sending any requests to the server. The session is getting expired even if I am clicking anywhere on the web page(but a request to the server is not being sent). I am already using "keep alive", but that doesn't seem to make any difference in this situation. Please help!! Thanks in advance.
