protected void grdView_RowDataBound(object sender, GridViewRowEventArgs e)
{
if (e.Row.RowType == DataControlRowType.DataRow)
{
foreach (TableCell cell in e.Row.Cells)
{
e.Row.Cells[0].ToolTip = Convert.ToString(((DataRowView)e.Row.DataItem)["Subject"]);

Hi Anjali,

You can display tooltip in gridview column as below on RowDataBound event of gridview.

protected void GridView1_RowDataBound(object sender, System.Web.UI.WebControls.GridViewRowEventArgs e)
{
if (e.Row.RowType == DataControlRowType.DataRow)
{
foreach (TableCell cell in e.Row.Cells)
{
e.Row.Cells[0].ToolTip = Convert.ToString(((DataRowView)e.Row.DataItem)["Address"]);
}
}
}

//Here Address is the name of column you can write your column name in place of Address.

Hi,
you can add the following code Page_load event in the code behind section of your web form.

protected void Page_Load(object sender, System.EventArgs e)
{
TextBox1.ToolTip = TextBox1.Text;
}

Good luck
