how to open sub report from main report

hello all,

i generate main crystal report in c# as a bill that have one field quotation no.

now i want to open on the report on the click on the quotation no. in bill on crystal report in c#

please how to do this

please help me.

Ok. We can easily do this. I assume you have created the main report. 1. Now go to Menu 'Insert > Sub Report . Then it opens the wizard. 2. Then give a name to the sub report. And tick 'On-Demand Sub report' link. 3. Now click on the report winzard button. 4. Then create the DB connection and wirte the query to get the data set. When writin the query do not forget to mention the column which represent 'quotation no.'. 5. Then select the columns needed for sub report. And after this it is similar to the way that you created the main report. 6. Then place the sub report om the place you wish to keep the link. 7. Then right click on the sub report and go to 'Change Subreport Links..' 8. From this window, you can create the link between the Main report and the sub report. You can select the ''quotation no.' column in main reports data set and 'quotation no' column in sub report data set and create the link. I hope this will help you.
