how to post value from one webpge to anothernavigation scrn

i have login page have uesrid,password and registering in another one page it has name,address,phone,area,gender

and i do some activity in another screen go through by login

now i need if once i login and then doing some activity then go to next navigation screen here i need name,address,phone how to get this .

Hi,

You can use SQLDataReader.

Check this sample code :

using (connection)
{
SqlCommand command = new SqlCommand(
"SELECT name, address FROM TableName;",
connection);
connection.Open();

SqlDataReader reader = command.ExecuteReader();

if (reader.HasRows)
{
while (reader.Read())
{
Session["name"] = reader.GetString(0);

thank u sir . but my value is not standard i.e. i will get by id of text box
is this possible

Session["Name"] = "document.getElementById("text1").value";

or retrieved from database
how to get values from database to variable and it will be used in another navigation screen
the below variables in Global Declaration
var name ="";
var phone="";
var Address="";

Session["name"] =result.Name;
Session["phone"]=result.phonenumber;
Session["Address"]=result.Address;

Hi,

You can use Session to store value.

To Store value in Session use this code :

Session["Name"] = "Your Name value";

To access this value on other page use this :

var name = Convert.ToString(Session["Name"]);

Hi Durga,

You have login details like(userid and passwrd). So you get the userid from login page stored in a session or variable and goto another screen here get user details like name,address,phone,area,gender where userid is already login userid.
