how to reset the autogenerated ID without deleting data in sql

DBCC CHECKIDENT (yourtablename, RESEED, 0);

thanks...... but i used this method real the problem is data from table is deleting but it should not happen

If you are using SQL SERVER then find following command:

DBCC CHECKIDENT (tablename, RESEED, 0);

Here "0" is start value means next when a new record will insert it will insert value as 1 (0+1).

Secondly if your column is primary key then next time insert it will throw you error primary key constraint violation.
