How to run the exe which is created by C# compiler.

Hi All Iam very new to the C# programming. I have created an Exe file with C# complier and executed the file in my system. It is working fine. But, if I run the same in some other system, where .Net frame is not installed, it is not working. Also it is showing an error saying "missing of 'mscoree.dll' file". So I copied this file from my system (where .Net is installed) into the other system and executed. But again there is a messages saying 'install .Net frame'. Is a C# exe file cannot without a .Net frame? Is there any other way to execute the C# exe? Awaiting for your suggestion.. Thanks in advance Sridharan.M

OOops! Sorry I forgot to reply in my earlier ones. For your stmt "The reason why iam asking is, i developed a file for my company.It should be used by the animators as well as the programmer. So every one are using windows 2000. Iam not supose to force then to install the .Net frame on their system." Well, Windows 2000 came prior to .NET. Now Microsoft ships .NET Framework installed with the newer versions of Windows. i.e Windows 2003... with no need to install the framework.!!

Sridhar U need framework to execute any of .net application.there is a difference between those two exe's because a .net exe requires the classes present in the .net framework which by default is not present in the win2000 & older versions.however win2003 comes with pre installed .net framework.c,c++ exe's are supported by windows because win2000 itself has been built from the vc++ a microsoft variant of conventional c++ which ofcourse suppports conventional c++ any how why those people are averse to .net framework it doesnt takes much space considering Dx9.0 has released sdk for .net i dont think any reason why it shouldnt be helpful to both Animators & programmers regards infinity

Hi Sridhar, All the .NET applications, be a DLL or an EXE, need the .NET Framework to be available inorder to be used. It is something like this... Today's world is a global village, with very flexible rules for travelling to any country any time.. But wait a min. to enter into any country, you need the visa and most importantly the passport without which you cannot enter and would be considered as a alien and deported.. Similar way, all the .NET apps. need the .NET Framework installed inorder to run successfully.. Since you are new to the .NET world, you shall look into the basics at the MSDN Hope you understand. Thanks for your reply Infinity. But i have one query based on this. If you are creating a file in C or C++ that files are running in all the system. B'cos it is an exe file. But in C# it is also an exe file, Then Why the system need the .Net frame to installed. At the same time i know like, the C# compiler converts the .CS file to intermediate file lang. So We don't have anyother option for this ? The reason why iam asking is, i developed a file for my company.It should be used by the animators as well as the programmer. hi shridharan yes its true for exe to run u need .net frame work installed on that m/c without it u cant check 5th component cd of .net it dotnetfx use this to install framework or download that from msdn site Hope That works!
