Alternatively you can use some trial service which offers 50 - 100 SMS for free and test your work and then can purchase if everything is settled down.

Generally this SMS gateway are expensive so better to try its trial version first and if looks good to go then you can purchase it anytime.

ASFAIK, there is no "trusted" FREE SMS gateway which allow to sent FREE SMS from your application. I have already searched the same for one of my project. But no luck. Before you start, i suggest to go thru this link, which give some basics about SMS gateways. So you need to buy SMS from SMS Service providers (SMS Gateway). This google search will provide a list of SMS providers and based on your financial status you can go with.

Hi first of all you need a find web services like that. http://www.smsglobal.com/mobileworks/soapserver.php?wsdl , then add a references your project and the last one ise just need to know you how send data using web services. Actually these services give you all methods. Have a great work.
