How to stop

My computer has every hour ringing sound. It is a distraction. Sound is like a wall clock alarm bell. Please tell me how to stop it.

Now you mention it, I do have a vague recollection of discussing that some time back.

I identified where it comes from. It was the Talking Reminder Software introduced by you. There is a tab called Sound and Speech under General Setting menu. Under Sound and Speech there is option called "Play this sound" I unchecked the box belongs to that. Now sound is not coming.

It sounds to me like the chiming of Big Ben which is a famous clock in London.

If that doesn't ring any bells (no pun intended), it might be a virus so, if you haven't done a full scan recently, I'd do that first.

Otherwise it might be something you've installed but forgotten about. I'd check the running processes in Task Manager to see if there are any likely candidates.

Which OS you are using?
