This is only way to add css in any HTML or ASPX page. You are getting some different error that may Couse your error.

Suppose you have 3 css file name in folder Name Content
1. site.css
2. site1.css
3. site2.css
If you want to add only one then add only one reference
<link href="~/Content/Site.css" rel="stylesheet" />
If you want to add more add another link with different file name.

it means i am using 3 file in our website but i am want call only one css file and our html file and import 2 css in single file how its posible...
