i get 1900-01-01 in my sql server,how to get real date ?

when i click the button the date that the server receive is 1900-01-01.how to get real date from the user,i'm using DateTimePicker in vb.net..can anyone help...do i have to do any code or format,how?

Use like this-

This is universal format of time i.e. 'yyyy-MM-dd'
in which format do you want date?
