Hi,

So far I have seen people using variable with session.

I'd like to know how people use object in c# asp.net form with layering example.

For example, I have User user.

I would like to know how the Session can be applied on User user when going thru a shopping cart.

Hi,
Perhaps I have not been clear in my communication but what I am looking for
specifically how to apply the Object Session
Session that applies on the Datatype directly not the variable.
So Users users UserOjb(users)session["userobj"];
It has to be object-oriented way.

Please give me example on how to use the Object Session that applies on the Datatype directly.

Session is server side state management technique which stores information user specific. However, if you put more data in Session variable it may consume more memory, so be careful on that.

As you are going to use Session in Shopping cart application, you can use Session to store user info. Let's say user logged in, then store user id in session. Then user will slowly play in shopping cart and products to cart. At the time of adding items to cart, store product id in session variable. In Checkout time, you will fetch product info from Database based on product id present in Session.

Hi,
Sessions are used to save data unique to users. It will be expired after a period of time. If you are using an online shopping site, you can use sessions to save the logged in user details and can be accessed on every page. In a shopping cart page you can check the session value and retrieve the data for particular user from your database. If the user is guest, then also we can use this session concept.
