Input box in VS 2010

It's possible to use the InputBox in VB.NET's runtime library in a C# desktop application.

Here's an example.

For it to work you need to add a reference to Microsoft.VisualBasic.dll to your project:

using vbi = Microsoft.VisualBasic.Interaction;

class Test

{

static void Main()

{

string message = "Enter your name";

string title = "InputBox Demo";

string defaultValue = "Fred";

// display inputbox at location {100, 100}

string value = vbi.InputBox(message, title, defaultValue, 100, 100);

if (value != "")

{

}

else

Console.WriteLine("No name entered but default is {0}", defaultValue);
