is it possible to change static variable and why we are using in real time project?

Hi Swapan,

Its depend how you are using Static variable. If you are declaring your static variable as normal then you can change values of that static member any time. If you have mark your static variable with readonly then you can change only run time after that you can not change that value.

Static variables are required when you wish to define single instance of it through out the application. Ex- Reading of connection string, you can keep it as static method . So that application executes it at once (not as and when requested by business layer).

yes, when you need something that will be used through out the application and every instance need to know the variable. static variables are often used for constants, which is common to all the instances if the class.
For example, many people don't like to "hard-code" constants in their code; they like to make a public static or private static variable with a meaningful name and use that in their code, which should make the code more readable.
