Hi, is operator used to compare the given object type. If your requirement is not to use this keyword, you can directly compare it with type as follows.

//using is operator
if(myobj is System.String){}
//without using is operator
if(myobj.GetType() == typeof("System.String")){}

Commonly is, GetType() and typeof() are used to compare the types of two variables or controls in C sharp.

I agree with you ,can we have any other methodolgy to get Is functionality without using GetType and typeof functions
