Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel Vs OpenXml Sdk

Hi all,

I have a requirement to import and export excel files to the sql server Database, So i googled and came to know about two important ways are Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel and OpenXml Sdk.

so is there any other way to do the same and which one will be best ?

I suggest you to go with OpenXml. Don't refer to "Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel" becuase it required MS Office (or some of it's related components) to be installed on Production Server which might cause licensing issues.

I strongly suggest you to refer OpenXML
