Modify Resource File with out Publish

Vikram

Hi,

We have added Multi lingual website to achive this we have added resource file. We have added few values in resource file which we change frequently so currently we need to change the resource file and publish it again and then host as resource file get compiled into dll after publish. Can we keep these file as is in root folder so if we modify these file so no need to publish and host it again.

Any Help will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Vikram

The resource files are meant to be easily distributable and hence part of the dll. So that's why you need a rebuild and deploying them will end all active user sessions.

A solution which I used in many projects that had frequent localized text updates was to read localized values from database instead. No xml based resouce files.
