Mono Droid install issues

Hey just starting out on this whole C# process, coming from previous successes from android(Java,HTML5) i thought that would be a good way to explore other envoirment as well as fell confident at the task at hand. but yet i can not get mono droid to fuction correctly, it wont run the program in the emulator. i have followed the instructions to the letter is there any tips or stratagies that would help me navagate this process.

Perhaps the most important tip or strategy when asking questions in forums is to provide the information that someone will need to help you. I think no one can be specific about what to do when you say you "can not get mono droid to fuction correctly, it wont run the program in the emulator". Yes, I know; it just won't work. Perhaps you can be more specific about the steps are you are doiong when you try to run it in the emulator.

You say you "have followed the instructions to the letter"; what instructions?

Also, what IDE are you using? What version of Mono for Android?

I know that when I installed the Android SDK, the instructions were not clear about what version of the JDK to use; 32-bit or 64-bit. I posted a question in a forum and the only help I got was that they I need to be able to read instructions; that no one will answer my question. You will probably get getter help here but you need to provide the information needed to get help.
