It completely depends on your requirement.
Well, Most of the shopping portals consists of multiple pages(.aspx), however now a days Single Page Applications are also in demand and growing so well because of less Traffic Consumption, Better UI user experience etc.
So, now its all up to you. If you're on to developing something that's going to have multiple pages then having a Master Page within your project is an obvious page and, if you're planning to create a single page application, then for sure, Master Page makes no sense.
