Post Code for UK

I am developing a web site using ASP.NET 2.0 If the user enters his post code and the distance he wants to travel, I should be able to extract all the post codes in that distance from his post code.
I am planning to use longitude and latitude. Any clue how to do this.

My client will enter a post code and the distance which he is willing to travel, then he should be able to see the postcodes within that radius. I am looking for only postcodes.
