I need a following program in .net.

convert roman to integer
fing the occurances of char in string

The roman numerals are describe with a set of letters. The string type is accessible like an array so grab each char and using the ascii value you can write a formulate:

VI = 6
V = Ascii is 86
I = Ascii is 73
you can say that char[0]-81+char[1]-72=6

Note: Remember to use to Upper on the string because the ascii value is different for lower case.
