As given in ablove example - onselect of america I want it should get redirected to a new page in ANGULAR 5

Use (change)="changeItem(id)" like:

In your typescript
changeItem(id){
console.log(id);
this.router.navigate(['/your-path']); //without param
//this.router.navigate(['/your-path', { id: id}]); //with param
}

Hello

On select , you can use onchange() event and from method you can transfer where you want like :
// calling external method


After that implement your logic for transfer , for that you can use routing as well
