In particular column having date and characters together .

how to remove characters from that column.

only dates should be their

eg: date

icc 2/9/1996

ib 2/2/1996

r 2/4/1996 uu

dsfsd 2/4/1996

remove characters at a time or separate

You may can use this. It will remove extra space as well.
var inputStr = "icc 2/9/2021";
string outputStr = Regex.Replace(inputStr , @"[A-Za-z\s]", string.Empty);

example.

string outputValue = Regex.Replace(inputValue , "[A-Za-z ]", "");

Create a function and check occurences of ''/' symbol and read the numbers preceding, between and after the symbol.

there are multiple ways , i prefer to create a UDF
create function ClearNonNumericCharacters(@str nvarchar(max))
returns nvarchar(max)
as
begin
while patindex('%[^0-9]%', @str) > 0
  set @str = stuff(@str, patindex('%[^0-9]%', @str), 1, '')
return @str
end
now use the above function while selecting the columns
select dbo.ClearNonNumericCharacters(datecolumn) from table
select dbo.ClearNonNumericCharacters('icc 2/9/1996') //o/p:- 2/9/1996
