Responsibilities of Fresh Software Developer

It rather depends upon the nature of the company you work for; if it is a smaller company you may well immediately find yourself responsible for an entire project with little to no supervision.  Alternatively, if it is a larger company with some sort of process and methodologies in place, you might find yourself working on a team where you might be responsible for part of a larger project.

Some people tend to specialise in either the front end or the back of the development world; but starting out I would think you would want to be comfortable working in either area unless you are tasked specifically to do one sort of thing or another.

Depending up on processes in place, you might find yourself participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions (where you may have to estimate the time you think it will take for you to do some development task, often with poor information going into it), you might also find yourself involved with peer reviews, code reviews, product demonstrations, and certainly meetings (lots of meetings).
