Retreive record fro database using entity framework

Try in this way
In DAL:

sqlCmd.Connection = conn;

sqlCmd.Connection.Open();

sqlCmd.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure;

sqlCmd.CommandText = "[P_SelectTableDetail]";

sqlCmd.Parameters.AddWithValue("@ID", ID);

SqlDataReader dr = sqlCmd.ExecuteReader(System.Data.CommandBehavior.CloseConnection);

if (dr.Read())

{

strCaseFileName = dr["Detail"].ToString();

}

dr.Close();

}

catch (ArgumentException ex)

{

throw new ArgumentException(ex.Message);

}

catch (SqlException ex)

{

if (ex.Number == 201)

In BAL:

public string GetDetail123(string caseId)

{

Document doc = new Document();

doc.CaseID = caseId;

doc.GetDetail();

return doc.CaseFileName;

}

On Page Code behind:

private string GetSubmittedCase()

{

DocManager docManager = new DocManager();

return docManager.GetDetail123(LabelCaseID.Text);

}
