Sending email during msi installer run on system

Step 1. Write this code to get system mac address in a separate class:

public string GetMACAddress()

{

NetworkInterface[] nics = NetworkInterface.GetAllNetworkInterfaces();

String sMacAddress = string.Empty;

foreach (NetworkInterface adapter in nics)

{

if (sMacAddress == String.Empty)// only return MAC Address from first card

{

IPInterfaceProperties properties = adapter.GetIPProperties();

sMacAddress = adapter.GetPhysicalAddress().ToString();

}

} return sMacAddress;

}

Step 2: Write code to send mail in same class as created for above.

Step 3: Add installer class and override below function

public override void Install(IDictionary stateSaver)

{

base.Install(stateSaver);

}

Step 4: Below base.Install(stateSaver) line call function for send email

Step 5: In custom action window, Add custome action for Commit filder ad select Primary output from AppName (Active).
