Session and SessionID

Hi All,

can i set and get session value using session id in dot.net . I want to set session without open any browser. In my
case my API are using by the Iphone and in this api i have code on page load event and set the session, but i could not getting this session value.

I am developing website for i-Phone and android phone. In this application i-phone using my API and i want to set session on the that api call and i want to use that session value.

What type of application is this? As you mentioned your API, this means is this a component?
