Sharepoint server 2010 installation

Hi All,

I want to install sharepoint server 2010 in my system.
Can any body tell me Required softwares for installation. i have seen many sites for installation guide,but they are following different procedures, i am not able to understand those guide lines.

1)please tell me step by step process like which one i have to install first,second,third,etc.....

2) I am using windows7 Ultimate OS, should i install windows server 2008?

3)I have downloaded Sharepoint server 2010.exe file from Microsoft. It was 410 MB. is it correct ? other wise give me correct path to download SharePoint server 2010?

Please provide these requirements...

Even windows 7 also we can install SharePoint 2010 Foundation. But can you share one more main information that your PC is 64 bit version?

If its 64 bit version, then will share detailed steps.....

I want to use for learning purpose in my local PC. As per your suggetion i will use Sharepoint Foundation 2010. Can you tell me how to setup all above things what i want.

If this is for your personal learning I would recommend Sharepoint Foundation 2010. You don't need server. And its free.
