Telerik Calender

Question

Hii, i am using the telerik calender in a webpage for input of DOB . so while we choose the date from RADDATEPICKER than it also picking up the time with it and i don't want like that. i only want is ...only the date should go into my database not time with date. so please help me out from this .

Hi Mohit, You can use dateInput tag and Dateformat as below. The data type of column should be Date and not datetime. In that case the time format will be 00:00:00.000 as below 2014-03-14 00:00:00.000. At the time of fetching that date column data you can show after formatting that value also. If you want to show the value in dd/MM/yyyy then you can use in sql server like - select convert(varchar,GETDATE(),103) as datecolumn. You can replace GETDATE() with your column name.

we can do as Suraj said but there is an another way for it we may done this like as DateTime? selectedDate = RadDatePicker1.SelectedDate; string date = ""; if (selectedDate != null) { date = selectedDate.Value.ToShortDateString();//or selectedDate.Value.ToString("d"); } else { //handle the case when user has not selected any date, and selectedDate is null } than catch the value in your variable by which you are using for input in my case i am using basicdetails[1]. than do basicdetails[1]=date;
