Hi question regard streaming replication, the replicated side also needs archive_mode=on? or just restore_command , primary_conn_info?

TBTH, with such an archive_command, it will not make any difference, as you'll lose data anyway.
Your _archive_ should be somewhere else (a 3rd server in a 3rd location)!

so if the archive command write the wal to /tmp/save_wal (on main) this directory also need to be available on the replica side? in case I keep the values on the replica side

In case you _ever_ want to failover to it and still not lose data, you should leave it 'on'.
