The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized

I created an SSRS report. This report is to be accessed outside our network. But when I tried to access it, it gives me this error:

The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized.

Any assistance is much appreciated.

Hi Bryian, thanks for the reponse. I figured it out. I will post the process so that those who encountered and will encounter this type of problem will have a solution.

I assumed it work internally. The SSRS is setup to use Windows Authentication? If that the case, I don't see how it will work outside the network or not on VPN. You should consider Form Authentication.
