9 to 5 job in software

Me too love the coding job & due to hectic hours not-happy with India..

Let me go through my list of companies:
Infosys >> 9 to 9 >> NOT OK
Capgemini >> 9 to 10 >> NOT OK
TCS >> 8 to 10 >> NOT OK
Small Companies >> 8 to 1 >> 8 to 1 AM >> NOT OK
So i join Mr. Anurag in saying No!!!

Now, let us analyze why all these Indian Companies are so?? 
Out sourcing?
Greed for profits?
Higher pays?
Lack of employee laws?
Corrupted officials?
Amateur managers?
Depreciating Indian Rupee?
Lack of proper training?

My Solution
Thus i reached USA, here i found 9 to 5 job, at least 95% days are like that, I can enjoy programming & technology here, here the law is against over-working (occassionally we do but)..

As you have further conditions like Mumbai, I am not sure about giving solution of job abroad like USA..

As this is the situation, you can search for jobs like PART-TIME in mumbai, through naukri, monster.  Ensure you bargain for 6 hours of work, so if they ask you to work more hours, you can charge them more.. If you fix for monthly pay, they will make you work more hours ..

Core
More hours will only yield short-term gains in s/w development as it is a creative field, in the long run, the extra hour working normal brain will loose interest to coding & performs a machine like output, creative thinking will hamper.  In the other way, frameworks, proper training, positive environment yield double output in the regular 8 hours job.
