How to get all the transaction logs (insert update delete) for a specific table.

Table have Parent and child relations

Try below query


SELECT*
FROM sys.fn_dblog(NULL,NULL)
WHERE Operation IN 
('LOP_INSERT_ROWS','LOP_MODIFY_ROW',
'LOP_DELETE_ROWS','LOP_BEGIN_XACT','LOP_COMMIT_XACT')

Use below query

insert logs
SELECT [Current LSN],

       Operation,

       Context,

       [Transaction ID],

       [Begin time]

       FROM sys.fn_dblog

   (NULL, NULL)

  WHERE operation IN

   ('LOP_INSERT_ROWS');
Similarly, we can do the same for deleted rows
SELECT [begin time],

       [rowlog contents 1],

       [Transaction Name],

       Operation

  FROM sys.fn_dblog

   (NULL, NULL)

  WHERE operation IN

   ('LOP_DELETE_ROWS');
Likewise you can query log for other transactions.

Logs are maintained for whole database , which you can see by firing following sql statements
SELECT * FROM sys.fn_dblog(NULL,NULL)
WHERE operation IN ('LOP_INSERT_ROWS', 'LOP_DELETE_ROWS')
ORDER BY Operation ASC
For a particular table you can create triggers and could maintain a history table side by side.
