Today, some task assigned to me related to RabbitMQ, I am new to this. As per my task I need to removed old version of RabbitMQ and install new one, I am able to unistall it from Control panel. But whenever, i will try to install new one, it generates error. By googling, I come to know that it is not proper unistall by Control Panel. Could you please suggest me how can I remove it.

Hello Reena,

Please do the following steps :
1. Uninstall Erlang and RabbitMQ from the control panel.
2. Open the "Task Manager" and kill the process "epmd.exe".
3. Delete all the installation directories for both RabbitMQ and Erlang.
4. Delete the file C:\Windows\.erlang.cookie
5. Go to the User folder: C:\Users\[username], and then delete the file .erlang.cookie
6. Also delete the same file from AppData\Roaming\RabbitMQ
7. Go to the service (type "regedit" in run) and go to the
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ericsson\Erlang\ErlSrv\1.1\Rabbit MQ path and delete it.
8. Restart your system now.

Hope, it will help you.
