Use of Button to Stop the Running Process

Hi Tanmay,

Since you are using this in Windows Forms, you will definitely need threading to keep the UI thread responsive. This is the foremost step in achieving the requirement. Now with threading comes the issues of concurrency and complexity. You will need to first reach to a level where your current code works with threading (of course if not already implemented).

Now I assume that you might be using the latest TPL (Read https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd460717%28v=vs.110%29.aspx) instead of traditional threading. In this, you can use CancellationToken (Read https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd997364(v=vs.110).aspx) to cancel tasks. This is pretty easy than traditional threads and I would suggest you move to TPL since it drastically makes its simple to work with threads.

Thanks.
