Try this. In Visual Studio create a HTML file. You can use "File | New | File..." and then select HTML Page. Then switch to Design view; I hope you know how to do that. There should be a toolbar at the tope for doing HTML formatting; if not then select "Formatting" toolbar to be viewed. Then in the formatting toolbar there is a dropdownbox for selecting Paragraph, Headding and other things. One of the other things is "Defined term
"; select that. Then type something then press enter then something else the enter then something else. You will see that first the text is not indented then after pressing enter the text will be indented and it will go back and forth each time you press enter. Then switch to Source view to see what the HTML look like.

Wew, that took more time to explain than I expected. The following is (I hope) the HTML that corresponds with the sample above.

Apple

Fruit

Fiat

        Car

C#

It is for creating definitions of terms. It is for use in a definition list in which each list item has two parts. I am not sure what HTML is used in the HTML that Kumar shows but it does not show what a definition list looks like by default.

Fruit

Fiat

Car

Many past web designers would love to create web design using table and it has been the Achilles point for web developers when it comes to debugging. Now, however when it come to listing data on a web page, example listing data of a profile, many people would use a HTML table instead. In fact, by using HTML dl, dt, dd tags, you will save on writing more codes and add more semantic value to the content. Whereas table are best use for tabular data, and should not be use in listing data, web form or web layout.

If you are still creating list data using table, look below and compare on how to make your life easier with HTML dl, dt, dd tags.
