PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A DIFFERENT PROBLEM TO MY OTHER WEB SERVICES POST...
I have been able to create my own asp.net web page that accesses my own web service by creating a web reference from a service in the current solution.
I have been trying to access an external web service, one that is freely available on webservicex.net however I create the web reference as usual but then it does not work in the same way as in the solution that I created one locally.
Can anybody offer a tutorial that takes you through step-by-step how to use a web service that is freely available online?

Hi,
There are two ways to access the web service it's doesn’t matter that is locally or on different server.
1. Add reference: When you create a reference it automatically create a Reference.cs. You can see that file using "ShowAllFiles" option in solution explorer. Then main thing is the URL where your request hit.
2. Create Proxy class. Using WSDL.exe you create the proxy class and add that class in your solution and create the object of that class. With the help of object you can access all the methods of that class.
Could you please tell me the exact error you are facing and the web service name?
