using oracle 9i as database

i want to use oracle 9i as my database in my c# .net application.
what are prerequisite for that.
i am unable to install oracle 9i client. my os is window 7. visual studio 2008
do i have to include any ddl also.
and namespace????
plz explain step by step as this is my first interaction with oracle database.
