Variable from one Form to another

I have a showdialog box. User puts in a number, hits a button, number should show in the main form. 2 books, a few hours, websites visted, no answers on how to do this insanly simple task. set properties to my second form? use delegates? not sure yet all seem complicated enough to justify at least one paragraph on the subject someplace on this planet. thanks

nevermind got it. was technical oversight on my part. I was calling the variable of the class not the instance of the class I created to load the form.
