How to Read Value from Appsettings.json inside Non controller class or inside the DAL or BAL using ASP.Net Core WEB API

if you are calling your class from your controller then private readonly IConfiguration _configuration; public YourController(IConfiguration configuration) { _configuration = configuration; } [HttpGet] public async Task > GetData() { YourNonControllerClass yourNonControllerClass = new YourNonControllerClass(_configuration); ..... ..... } I think it's better to use Interface instead of class.

@Piyush, the DI container will handle everything for you. whatever things are registered inside the web project startup ConfigureServices() method will automatically come to your DAL or BLL constructor. so don't think about constructor.

You need to use Microsoft.Extensions.Configuration using Microsoft.Extensions.Configuration; namespace YourProjectName { public class GenericRepository : IGenericRepository where TEntity : class { private readonly IConfiguration _config; public GenericRepository(IConfiguration configuration) { _config = configuration; } public void AnyMethod() { _config.GetConnectionString( "Constr" )); } }
